OH MI GOSHIES!!

kay, so I'm leaving tomorrow. so don't expect to hear from me for...two months...ish...the internet will be scarce indeed on the road, but I'll try and comment/update whenever possible. I'm probably not gonna miss you guys, but don't take that badly 'cause I don't even miss my FAMILY. however, i will think of you all DAILY!! I'll just be too excited and distracted to miss anyone. =D

some exciting news here, Sarah got Rizzo for Grease next year. woohoo!! she's gonna do sooo well.

more exciting news, I'm going to see a Xavier Rudd concert in Victoria!!!!!! YES!!!

Three. More. Days. And then i will be on my way to BC again. Yeeeeeeeesssss... I can't wait. I'm just sooo excited. Gah. Okay, updateness.

So, Saturday was pretty coool. There was eight people here in total. Me, my sister, Sarah, Shelby, Sloane, Taylor, Brittany and Jordyn. We went to the park and played grounders for a while in the afternoon then came back here when Shelby fractured her toe. well, me and Sarah walked Shelby back here while Jordyn, Brittany and Taylor walked to Jordyn's house to get Jordyn a change of clothes and Sloane and Corrinna sat at the playground to tell them we were going back to the house (we left after they did). And the three of us decided to check out a street performers wanted ad at the Bayview Cafe. you know how we jammed out on the last day of school? well, we've started a jam band called Skittle Jam. It's pretty sweet. I play didj, drums and sing, Sarah sings and plays drums, Shelby does guitar and sings and then there's a bunch of other people that come along and play if they want. it's a sort of fluctuating band. =D But we're the main three. Only Shelby and Sarah can sign up for it, though, 'cause I'm gonna be gone most of the summer if not all. But I'll get to that in a moment. =D

Anyways, when the rest of the party got back we decided to go to the beach. We only got about two blocks away from our house, though, before Taylor's mom drove by us and pretty much kidnapped Taylor. it was sooo stupid. And lame. she drove up and was like 'You're busted, you're busted. get in the car." so Taylor, being a nice girl who's very afraid of her parents, got in the car and they drove off. What I don't understand, though, is why she would be driving down that particular street when they live in Benalto, which is almost an hour away from Sylvan Lake. And her mom doesn't work near where I live. she works on the other side of town. So, her mom is a creepy stalker who won't let her do anything without supervision. Apparently the only thing she was busted for was going down to the beach. Even though my sister said we didn't have any definite plans for the day and the beach was a possibility so everyone should bring their swim suits. Gah, it was so annoying. Haha. My mom is gonna pay them a little visit one of these days, though. I wish i could go. I'd love to see her chew Gina a new @$$hole. XD

After that we were a little disheartened and we went back to our house then left an hour later for a swim then came back and watched movies until two in the morning. haha I only got three hours of sleep before i got up to make breakfast and fold laundry. XD 'twas funny.

Then Sunday was Father's day and i slept for a lot of it...though id id visit with my dad for several hours before he had to leave and we went out and had dinner and whatnot. it was great.

Then yesterday i went down to the pier to have a vegetarian potluck with a bunch of people. it was nice except that it was windy. and the food people brought was sooo good. Shelby brought a sweet potato salad. Sarah brought pizza, Megan brought peanut butter and chocolate bars, Christen brought something or other that i can't remember the name of (it was a tomato thing that you put on bread and it was really good.), Tyler brought a salad and i brought a veggie pie. It was great. Mitch and Kayla were there too, but they didn't have any food 'cause they just sorta tagged along...for the better i might add. we took a lot of pictures, too, mostly of a bunch of us attempting to get warm on a bench by cuddling.haha. it was great.

Then we went to the school and had our auditions for Grease. it was coool. Shelby, Sarah and Colin are pretty much guaranteed parts because they're awesome like that. I hope i don't get a part, though 'cause i want to get dreads over the summer and i can't if i have to be someone in the play 'cause I'd have to cut them off and grow my hair out again...which might be easy enough, but it'd be a waste of awesomeness to get dreads and not be able to keep them in. =D

Then i did my math exam today...it wasn't too bad. some of the questions were so easy i don't actually know how they got onto a final exam. XD it was funny. I almost laughed in the middle of the test, but i contained myself. XD I skipped half of it, though, 'cause i couldn't get a calculator so i sat outside in the grass until Ms. Wagers came and got me. XD 'twas awesome.

and now. in three days. i get. to go. to BC!!!!! AHHH!!!!! I'm going out to the island first to visit my brother Geoff in Tofino and shred some gnar for a couple days. then I'm going to Sooke to visit my brother Steve and m sister Serena at the Firemaker Primitive Skills Festival. Then I'm going to Victoria to work for a couple weeks with a lady named Tanya in her landscaping business. I'm buying a bike there, too, before my dad leaves so i can bike across BC with Steve and Serena when they get out of the festival. And in August I'm going to Shambhala!!!! YES!!! gonna be awesome. then i get to come back to Alberta and do grade eleven and Grease. hopefully i can take Math through correspondence next year and take Spanish instead. XD That would be great.

anyways, I'm out now. gotta start checking if i have everything i need to pack for the bike trip. =D

School's OUT!!!!!!!!!! awe yeeah. =D

yes! yesterday was mah last day of school. and it was a freakishly great one, too. I may have mentioned that this week i had sooo many spares, but if i didn't: this week had sooo many spares. On Monday i only had to go to CALM, social and do a band test, all of which were in the morning so i got the afternoon off. Of course, i was SUPPOSED to go to math class, but i skipped it all week. XD
then on tuesday I only had to go to social and CALM (and math hahah) but they were my first two classes and i had a band spare all week.
On wednesday I went to CALM so my friend Megan wouldn't be a loner(I had finished my final project on Tuesday) but she finished early so we got to leave. then i went to Social and had the rest of the day off. hehe. that was the day me and Tyler came to my house and made scones. mmm. they was nummy. =D I went back for lunch that day but came back with tyler and christen and hung out at my place for the rest of the day.
Then on Thursday (yesterday) I had the BEST day of the entire freaking year. it was sooo great. I didn't eat breakfast yesterday morning 'cause I only had one class to go to and i woke up late so i thought I'd be back in a bout an hour. I wasn't.
I went to social and then during my CALM spare(which was next) I chilled out in the band room with Megan and Sarah (who are both in my CALM class) and Shelby who had gym and didn't want to go. We had this totally epic jam session in there with me and Sarah and helby(sometimes) singing and Me and megan on the drums occaisionally with Sarah and Shelby playing guitar.
Then it came to third class which i had a band spare in. veryone had to go to class except me so i went with Tyler and Sarah to their drama class. Unfortunately they were playing taboo, one of the most boring games in the world to me. So me and Sarah and Tyler left early and went back to the band room to jam out again. Chelsea was there too, so we chilled with her while she did homework.
Then lunch rolled around and Megan and Kayla and Shelby came along with some other people who didn't stay for very long. We had another epic jam session then with Kayla and Shelby and sometimes Mitch on the guitars, me and Sarah and Shelby and sometimes Marrissa singing and me and Megan and Sarah and Tyler on the drums (sometimes. we shared between them). Julie came in at one ooint and played on the glockenspiel. it was cool.
then second last period came and almost no one left except a Kayla and a few people i barely know who were listening. though Danson and Josh both came in then and Dandon started playin his bass guitar and Josh was doing drums and we sort of meshed our jamming even though no one said a word.
then at last period the grade nine band came in so me and Tyler and Shelby and Sarah went into the instrument storage room while they cleaned up the band room. Tyler eventally went to steal Kayla from whatever class she had and we jammed out again. it was pretty awesome.
Then after school ended we jammed for a couple more hours in the band room( Me, Sarah, Marrissa, My sister, Shelby, Mitch and...no one else.) after a while me and my sisi invited Shelby and Sarah to come over. And for some strange reason Marrissa thought she was invited even though i don't particularly like her all that much and nor did any of the others. it was strange. and she couldn't take any of the hints i was throwing out, either. like singing "I've got TWO friends coming over to my house!" and appearing startled when i noticed Marrissa walking behind us. Unfortunately i forgot to use the "We can only have two people over" line. Damn. XP
but we got home and ate some pizza that Sarah cooked for us (which was totally delicious) and eventually went to walk Shelby home. Fortunaely at this point i said that Shelby could only have a couple people over and fur was probably too much so Marrissa would just have to walk home or whatever. Then we dropped shelby off and went walking with Sarah around to some parks and stuff. we stopped at Fox Run school (the middle school) and played an epic game of grounders with the little kids that were on the playground. they were totally intense and cute and a little horribly adorable when they said some things..."Don't you know what friggin' monkey bars are? What are you retarded?" for example. that coming from a kid that's probably in about grade four is horribly adorable.
Eventually they managed to totally tire us out, though and we went to my house so Sraha could call her parents then went walking to a lovely pond that I go to sometimes to get away from civilization. We couldn't stay long, though, 'cause it was getting dark and mosquitoes were coming ot. so we went back to my house, Sarah got picked up and i went to sleep. and now I'm officially on exam week holiday. YES!!

and on Saturday we're having a grounders party and a whoever-can sleepover. Then it's Father's Day and then I'm having a picnic on Monday along with some sweet jaming and auditions for Grease. YES! It's gonna be sweeet.

somme stirfnesses...

so, I totally forgot to mention this in the last post, but i left my sweater (the only one i owned) at Fox Run school. fortunately (?) Matt picked it up and brought it to the school. Unfortunately he gave it to Nikki and i don't know where it went from there. ah well. i think it's because there was a stone in the pocket and it wanted to be with someone else. which is cool. and i can always make a new one. After all, I've been sewing sooo much lately. sewing random stuff for people. Like a skirt for my friend Amanda (it's a dark blue skirt that i made poofier by adding in six triangles of fabric in the colors of the rainbow. it's awesome.) and I'm sewing a bag of smiles for my friend Kim. I've decided to give presents on my birthday rather than receive them this year and I asked Kim what she wanted and she said 'just a smile will do.' So now I'm sewing her a whole bag of them it's gonne be awesome. and I sewed some other stuff for people. like a bag for my friend christen . I haven't actually started it yet, but it's gonna be awesome.

I'm also getting my first actual birthday party on Monday...even though my birthday isn't until the thirteenth of July. But i won't be here, so it's all cool. kay, to explain all of this i have to explain my day. okay

I woke up at about two this morning and listened to Enya for almost four hours. in that time i drank three bowls of mate. And i watched the sun rise at about four. ooh. the moon was still up just before the clouds started turning pink and it was glowing soo brightly. And it rained last night so everything smelled so fresh and clean. mmm. I love the rain.

Then it started raining a bit when me and my sisi walked to school and that was nice. CALM was first today and i did a final exam then. After that I talked with Megan and Sarah. then i went to social and was totally zoned out because the mate was making me all peaceful today. 'twas great. Then i had CALM again and i once again talked with megan and sarah all class. we were supposed to be working on a project but we didn't get a lot done. XD then i had lunch outside in the football field and that was cool. It was after that that i realized I had forgotten my trumpet at home and i had a playing test today last period. so after lunch i skipped math (for the third time in the last three days XD) and walked home to get it. when i got back to the school i started sewing Kim's present then i did my playing test (which i failed horribly. I was so hot 'cause it was crazy in the band room and three hours of sleep last night had finally started to catch up to me that i couldn't get any of my notes right. ugh. it was suckish, to say the least.) So now I have a spare during that block. and because I'm also going to be skipping math until the end of the year (which is in three days) I get the afternoons off every day. it's pretty sweet.

anyways, during calm me, sarah and megan had decided we were all going over to megan's house to finish that project. after school, though, we were talking to Shelby and Tyler and Christen and my sister in the hall and we decided that they should all come over to. But because Megan lives in an apartment that wouldn't work too well. so we decided to come to my house instead. when we got here we drank several rounds of mate between us and ended up all of us sitting in my room talking and reading my vegetarian magazines. That was when we decided that we're having a picnic on Monday and we'd all make some sort of vegetarian food and bring it along to the lake after the exam that day. Then, after a little more debate they all decided that it was going to be my birthday party. and i told them that I've never actually had a birthday party before. Because I haven't. usually my family is on vacation for my birthday so we forget about it or everyone else is on vacation so i can't have much of a party. so this is actually truly the first birthday party I've had since i was about six. that's a ten year gap. it's crazy. But it's gonna be awesome. I'm making a veggie pie. mmm. with cabbage leaves baked on top. soo good.

Me and Megan also taught sarah a bit about stones. well, the stones that i have in my room. I have a blue tigers eye, a brown tigers eye a quartz crystal, a reddish brown stone that i don't know, moonstone, and amethyst, a blue stone that i can't remember the name of and my obsidian, Kevin. I love them all dearly. haha, funny thing, though. So, one day my sisi finds this red stone on my dresser and she's like 'Did Audrey give you this one? It's pretty." but I had no clue what she was talking about because Audrey hadn't given me the stone, it just randomly appeared in my room that day. it was weird. Then Corrinna gave me the reddish brown stone that her friend had given her but she didn't want. so i had my stones until I lost my sweater and the red stone that was in the pocket. the day after that, though, i was sorting through some fabric and bags that are beside my dresser and i find this reddish brown stone. then corrinna comes in and I tell her about it and she says "that's the stone i gave you from Kirsten. You've had it for a long time" But it hadn't been in my bed (that's where I keep my stones) and i showed her the one i thought was the one she gave me. it was actually the brown tigers eye. and it just randomly showed up in my room one day. it's the weirdest thing. I don't know why stones just randomly appear in my room. but i don't mind. =]

anyways, though, after a while of planning and whatnot Tyler's mom phoned him saying there was a tornado warning. this sorta freaked christen out but then lighting started streaking across the sky and thunder was booming and it looked so uber cool outside. then it started raining and everyone decided it was time for them to all go home. so me and my sisi decided to walk Tyler, Shelby and sarah back to their houses...in the crazy rain and te lightning and a tornado warning in Red Deer. it was awesome. and we got totally soaked. we dropped Shelby off first then went to Tyler's house to drop some of his stuff off and went to Sarah's for hot chocolate. then her parents gave us a ride home and now I'm here posting all of this. =]

I gotta say, though, today was absolutely perfect in every way. I have never had a better day in my life. I woke up feeling peaceful and serene then the school day totally flew by and the evening still doesn't feel like it's going to ever end. it's sooo awesome. not to mention i feel about a billion times closer to all of these people and we have plans for both Saturday and Monday. It's great. Then, on the twenty seventh I'm leaving for BC so i can shred some gnar in Tofino and bike cross BC to shambhala and then back to Alberta for next year. oooh. we're doing Grease as a school play next year. YES!! gonna be awesome. I totally can't wait.

anyways though, I should stop boring you all with the details of my life and go sew...or maybe eat some food. yeeah.

soooz, school is almost out for me!! Yus!!! I so can't wait for summer. Get to go to BC again *praise the lord!! Which one? Any of 'em!!* and once again shred some gnar in Tofino wid mah bros. then I'm biking across BC and back to Alberta *bleh* but at least I get to have a freakin' amazing summer. too bad I still have two years left of school.



Oh, and I should be able to go to Shambhala 'cause Serena got a free ticket. YES!! gonna be sweeet. Not to mention I'm gonna be totally ripped out of my mind from bicycling. XD if any of you guys have ever seen Bc in any way, you will understand why. it has intense hills and it's bigger than most of the countries in the world. after all, it's about the size of texas and California put together. Approximately. wooh! it's gonna be sweet to bike across. XD and hippy style, too, so I'm gonna be livin' on the cheap cheap cheap. =D



anyways, I leave for the coast on the 26th I think. maybe the 27th. my last exam is on the 24th (12 days!!!!!) and then I'm out of heer. ahha. it's really funny, I got kicked out of my math pure class and put into the applied 'cause I'm failing math with a 26% average. XD so now I'm skipping all my math classes 'cause I'm not doing pure so i don't really have to be there anymore. It's quite funny. I skipped it on wednesday and today. I'm kinda dumb, though, i stayed for my day of double math. XD Ah well. I also have a band practical exam on Monday. I think i did well on my written yesterday. especially the rhythm dictation. it's sooo easy. there's a lot of people in my band that need to hear four measures, like, six or seven times, but I can do it in five. Once for each bar and a final one to see i didn't miss any. then I got to go home. it was awesome. I keep getting to go home early. I don't think Ive actually had a full day all week. It's awesome.



And i went to the junior high school today with the band. we played for them to encourage them to go in band in high school. I hope a bunch of them do, but i seriously hope we can break the new grade nines next year. god, they're all such dumbasses. almost all of them smoke already, about half are on some form of drugs and one of them, well a twelve year old, got PREGNANT. It's disgusting. and they all seem to think they're so incredibly cool. hehe. just wait until they get into high school. boy will they be surprised at what we're actually like. you can tell that they try and be high schoolers by the way they look at us in the high school. It's funny, but it's also sad...that reminds me of Mad World by Gary Jules. hmm.

Good song. I keep getting reminded of songs. all week. today it was mostly Everybody's Working For the Weekend because my friend Megan was telling people that she has to work this weekend. And then there was School's Out For Summer!!! ahha. that was Kim. she was talking about summer a LOT. haha. And there was a few others. 'twas super awesome. =D



But right now I;m listening to the Mudmen...well, sorta. there's a random bagpipe song on right now, but it's a CD with mostly mudmen on it. I love the mudmen. they're super awesome. a sweeet hardcore celtic punk band. they ruule. and I've been looking for this CD for almost two years. and I finally found it yesterday. I was sooo happy.



Me and My sisi used one of the pipes songs in our stop motion animation short short SHORT film montage. it's sweet. ...I wonder if i can post it...hmmm. I'll check...

OMG. it totally worked. YUS. that is sooo epic. My sisi did al the photography...of course. she's incredibly attached to her camera. XD I think I'll take hers when she finally gets a better one. really I'll only use it so i can take pictures to share with all you cool peoples...and maybe some people on FaceBook, but maybe not. who knows.

anyways, I'm gonna go eat somme of my sisi's incredibly delicious caramel popcorn. mmm.

anyways, so here's an update on my life. woohoo!!





I'm offically never going to pass math clas unless i have sone sort of miracle charm. ahaha. it's funny. I actually have 32% average in that class. i'm quite excited. this is the first time I've ever failed a class. woohoo!!





hmm, what else...(?)...zzzzzz......sorry...I fell asleep. =D





okay, so on Thursday night i went to merge at the school. Merge being a gathering of some local churches who all get together and sing worship songs and generally have a jolly good christian time. I'm not a part of that religion, though, so it may seem a little odd that i was there...well, it wasn't. I love learning about it. =D anyways, merge was AMAZING. it gave me revelation upon revelation of things that were so simple but so profound. first the worship band played and, as always, i got totally into the music. (I love music. =D) then Jeff stood up and spole a bit about god and stuff and it was okay (though he was a little nervous and isn't the greatest public speaker when he is. He was still great, though.). Then Dean stood up and told this realy inspirational story about how god answered his call when he was in despair about his stutter (amazing that he has a stutter yet is the most amazing singer ever. hmm...). he had this super awesome metaphor about it, too. he was like: you know how whe you get a phone call but you can't find the phone you rip your house apart trying to find it? well, if you call god, he'll do the same for you. he'll tear the house down to find you and answer that phone. It was pretty cool. Fo shizzle...mah nizzle...Then Kelsey started talking and she was soooo inspirational. it was awesome. she was talking about god, but it hit even those of us that weren't christians. and not even in the whole "Ah! now I'm gonna believe in god" kind of way. it really just reinforced my beliefs and my acceptance of other beliefs and whatnot. it was great. awesome, awesome merge.





then Near Dissent played for us. they're soo cool. these five guys from my school all started a band. they're sooo...hmm...I don't even know what to say they are. Cool? Funny? Cute? I duno. All three...they're cooltey... ...yeeah.

Anyways, so they're all pretty cool. haha. they all had funny head movements and whatnot. 'twas funny. Cam was all crazy with his singing, flailing around like a madman. XD not really, but whatever. =D Then Josh did this crazy chicken bob thing and so did Danson when they played guitar. XD I didn't really see Bryan(the drummer) but I can imagine he was going pretty wild. =D and Kevin was the craziest. XD he pulled this bandana up to his eyes so you could only see a slit of them between his hair and the fabric. it was really...funny, cool and cute at the same time. and he went totally crazy while playing his guitar. it was awesome. I rocked out like crazy. XD haha. some of you may recall the comment about guitarists that i posted on Carl's blog. well, that goes for this. =D

anyways, to continue with my story, after Merge me and a whole bunch of people went down to the pier for Jordyn's birthday party. she was one of the one's that went to provincials for one acts for the play Watermelon Boats so we hollowed out watermelons and put candles in them and set them in the lake. it was super cool. then we went to chelsea's house for cake and chill time and i got home at about one in the morning.

and on Friday i went to the relay for life in Red Deer. it's a twelve hour walk for cancer research that went from 7pm to 7am saturday morning. it was sweet. there were luminaries in honor of people that survived and in memory of all the people that we've lost. It was cool.

Then i went to my dad's house yesterday and stayed overnight. it wasn't all that interesting so i see no reason to get into details. hahah except that my mom's new boyfriend was over...ALL WEEKEND. XD me and my sisi teased her sooo bad. apparently the night of the relay my sister said some veeeery funny things to them. It went like this:

MOM: We're going to bed, orrinna. Good Night.
CORRINNA: Don't be too loud down there.

and my mom got a little indignant about that. then my sister shouted THER'S WHIPPED CREAM IN THE FRDGE!!! XD it mus have been hilarious.

but anyway, I'm gonna continue listening to Adiemus. Adios mi amigos.
